Austin High Basketball rankings

Austin High Boys remain at #3 in the Central Texas rankings in the Austin American-Statesman this week. The Runnin’ Maroons have a gaudy 26-2 record (8-0 in district). On the girl’s side, the Lady Maroons appeared at #10 as they finished 2nd in district with an 8-2 record (21-6 overall). On to the playoffs!

Three Austin High Athletes sign

Three Maroon athletes signed this week with colleges led by track and cross country star Rachel Baptista who signed with the University of Colorado. Also signing were Daniel Laudermilk (Midwestern State University-football) and Hanna Kuhl (Trinity-soccer). Congratulations to these fine Austin High athletes.

Bowie swept

THe Runnin’ Maroons completed their sweep of the Bowie Bulldogs with a 45-40 victory Tuesday night at the Burger Center.
