Runnin’ Maroons top Georgetown to start season

Austin High defeated the Georgetown Eagles to open the 2010 basketball season, 66-48. After leading by only only 4 points at half, the Maroons outscored their opponents 17-8 in the 3rd quarter to take control of the game. Austin High was led by McClellan and Reinking with 15 points each.

Baptista finishes 9th in State

In an impressive performance yesterday, Rachel Baptista completed her Austin High Cross Country career with a 9th place finish at the 5A State Cross Country Championships at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock. Rachel’s time of 11:22.41 was the best among Central Texas runners.

The Lady Maroons began their 2010 basketball campaign by defeating Westwood 62-49 behind 21 points from Sierra Contreras and 11 from Selena Hernandez.

Emory Blake scores for #2 Auburn

Austin Volleyball drops 5-setter

In a see-saw bi-district battle, the Lady Maroons fell to Georgetowwn 25-11, 21-25, 25-12, 16-25, 15.8. Austin finishes its season at 28-19 while the Eagles (37-8) move on against Klein Oak.
