Selena Hernandez (’11) was named the Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week after going 3 for 3 with 2 HRs, 4 runs scored and 3 RBIs against the University of Texas.

Lady Maroons Softball roars into 3rd Round

Austin High’s softball team has been very impressive in the playoffs. After racing through their district schedule with a 10-0 record, the Lady Maroons¬†swept Georgetown their bi-district round. Then they¬†defeated Humble Kingwood 5-0 in a one-game series to move on to the 3rd round, to be played this week.

Good week for Softball team

This was a good week for Lady Maroon softball. They posted victories over rival Bowie and Del Valle and were ranked 3rd in the Statesman’s Centex ratings. Austin High is now in first place in district with a 4-0 record with a 10-game winning streak.

Softball team starts strong

The Austin High softball team began the season in strong fashion. Rated 6th in Central Texas, the team rallied to beat a strong Dripping Springs squad, then followed that up with two dominating performance to close the week with a 6-3 record.
